Last night Chris picked blackberries which we had for breakfast. This morning I picked some kale and lettuce adding zucchini, cucumbers and potatoes from the garden. My goal is for us to eat this today. I’m thinking salad and a veggie casserole.

Mmm! my kind of food 🙂
I do wish it were mine more often. I tend to cave in to other temptations more often than I should.
Same here. I try very hard to cook vegetables every day but often end up taking something easy & fast 🙂
It’s a great feeling to eat the fruit and vegetables that you grow. I’m jealous of the variety of the food you have! We just harvested some spinach and rhubarb. Yum!
Don’t be jealous. We got little yield from our spinach, and rhubarb, I’ve never enemy thought about growing. Every year is hit or miss with us. This year we’ve had the right amount of rain and sunshine.
Isn’t it wonderful to head out to the garden and harvest your own food :). I lived off my spinach, silverbeet and tomatoes last summer and the spinach is STILL growing strong! It’s too cold to have green smoothies for breakfast at the moment and we are redeveloping our garden area but the spinach is still growing steadfastly for whenever I want some. Love your produce and you will be all the healthier for using it in your meals today 🙂
Our tomatoes are still green, but looks like we are going to get some good ones. Didn’t do so well here on the spinach, but kale and lettuce…more than we can eat, been giving it to almost everyone who comes by.
I have 1 spindly little kale plants that the aphids finally gave up trying to kill and heaps of spinach that has gone nuts. I love spinach and haven’t set foot in the veggie garden in weeks so it must be a hardy crop ;).
